You know I can understand a lot of things but the one thing I can’t understand among a whole lot of other things is why the Flickr’ couldn’t I find any great artistic photography with any African American people in it. I mean I found African pictures, you know pictures from Africa, I found tribal pictures, I found well hell I found a whole lot of junk. When I type in pretty women I searched until the last page and didn’t find one person who looked like me.
What the Flick is that about? It is really upsetting to know that when I look at pictures of women who are black all I find is video hoes and half naked pictures why ladies why? I think we need to up our game folks. On America’s Best Dance crew every black group that debuted on there always integrated some stupid ass booty poppin’ move while others are pop lockin’ and breakin’ we are still stuck in selling sex. When will we learn?
I am not sure if it’s just me seeing this but I would like to think that I am not. I am just tired of always being the fool or the booty or somethin’. You know it’s also funny that I can easily find a fat girls page, a love yourself page and even a I am a mixed girl in this world page. When I search for a page on people of color I find Gossip, wearing natural hair. Sites that bash having flat ironed hair in fear of loosing their blackness, and relationship advice.
So please don’t take it as I am leaving out some specific race of people ( specifically ladies of color) because I am not. I don’t see color when I write I see art and pretty, I see overall beauty not a color. I am only working with what I see and I am not seeing much. I love my girls I just wish some of us would wake up.
