Sometimes i suppose it is that way when you have had a dream or maybe just a goal it's like being a little girl again and aging appropriately and even through the rain and sleet your dream still proceeds to grow and if you just hold on it can grow into something great something mature without needing a seam to be replaced or a string to be taken out. It is your dream, your life through it all it is the one thing no-one can take away from you, YOURS!

Why is it do you think that we close ourselves in so much when it rains? Why is it do you think that we don't open the door or window in order to hear it clearly? I don't understand why rain is always associated with depression and all things sad and yet after a rain everything grows better than it did when being hand watered. Crazy thought huh?
Something that helps plants and other things become brand new brings up old memories and thoughts in you.
I get the most inspired when it rains. Maybe for me because everything seems to slow down. I got out and stay in the store a little bit longer than usual and it almost seems that it is dark outside and i am in the store on some secret shopping spree. The smell is amazing too. For the brief time that it rains you no longer smell exhaust. You smell green, you smell life.

Something to hold a glass up to..

Today was a very productive day!! Although it started out kinda rough with a headache from the ozarks. The great news is that I found a new site. It's called Attic24. I really love her site. She doesn't make thing complicated she really makes it easy for those of us that are visually challenged. I mean this is coming from a person that couldn't make a slipknot lol. I could make one but it was just not clicking at that time. ( You let my son tell the story and he will tell you how i sat for almost 2 hours staring at the yarn like i was learning how to use my hand eye coordination all over again. It's ok if you wanna laugh i'll still luv ya.) Then one day it just clicked. I mean I didn't quite do it the absolute correct way but hey it got done.

Now look at me, makin' coasters, granny squares and even hexagons, hooray for me ... Well all this talk about success is making me wanna go make something right now.

Great Sunday

Today was a great Sunday and it is ending on a great note. I am sorta getting the hang of this blog thing. (I think..)

I spend my days scouring the net and everyday I find blogs that are so beautiful and inspirational that I just want to be successful with what I am doing. I used to write all the time on Facebook and I guess because I didn't get that notoriety that I assumed I would and I think it discouraged me a bit.

I love writing whether it be about music or about life. This is a fresh slate. Getting going on projects is going well, I've gotten alot of inspiration from great people.

It's just like people say that it might be tough at first but keep trying and you will be doing it in no time.

YES~~ I finally did it.. I made my first granny square.
Of course it had to happen at 3 am while being half asleep and somewhat in a zombie state and using one foot to rock the baby to sleep. That is true multi-tasking lol.

I had found a lot of patterns before that claimed that they were so easy an 8 yr. old could do it. Maybe they meant an 8 yr. old crocheting vet. I thought that it would be nothing to it but it is pretty tough. I am not sure what I started out with at first, it was somewhat like a semi-circle, sub rectangle type thing never the less it was rough. Heaven forbid I add in the second color.

I found the perfect pattern last night at Home Ec 101. There's other stuff on there also. You can even learn how to clean a garbage disposal or take it apart rather.

The granny square tutorial was easy to follow, really really easy. It wasn't written in some super fancy form it was just like she was talking to me as a friend.

Happy Stitchin.!

All in a days work

This world called DIY and crafting has a life of its own. I started almost 6 mos. ago and it has completely taken over my life.

I have learned so many ways to fix things on my own I have the slightest idea why I would every have to hire someone ever again. I started with my winter line of scarves, hats and bags. S~Carves got started kinda late but I am fully confident that next winter will be MY year.

There are so many videos and blogs out there about crocheting, sewing and just plain ole' DIY it can make your head spin. I plan on offering you nothing but the best links to my faves in hopes they will become your favorite.

Life as a busy mom has somewhat slowed down my progress on some projects I have going on but I am confident that when i do release my baby collection and home style collection it will be a hit.
